Want to keep your car’s window control panel looking fresh and scratch-free? Installing a TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) film is a great way to protect it from daily wear and tear. Follow these easy steps for a smooth and bubble-free finish.
What You’ll Need:
- TPU film
- Installation solution (a mix of water and a few drops of mild dish soap)
- Spray bottle
- White felt scraper
- Wiping cloth
- Towel
- Wet wipes

Step-by-Step Installation Guide:
1. Choose the Ideal Environment
- Ensure the workspace is clean and free from dust.
- Avoid areas with heavy dust or debris.
- Park your car in a shaded or indoor area to prevent direct sunlight, which can cause the solution to evaporate too quickly.
2. Clean the Window Control Panel
- Use wet wipes to thoroughly clean the screen surface and dry the surface with a wiping cloth
- Avoid using products like Windex, which can leave residue and affect adhesion. Instead, use rubbing alcohol or a suitable screen cleaner.
- Use a dust absorber or tape to remove dust particles invisible to the naked eye. Make sure all fingerprints, smudges, and dust are removed.
3. Check the TPU Film
- Take out the TPU film designed for your screen and check its size and alignment.
- If there are any issues with the film, stop the installation and contact our customer service for assistance.
4. Apply the Water-Soap Solution
- Slowly peel back the protective backing from the TPU film while spraying the water-soap solution on the adhesive side.
- NOTE: MUST remove the protective layer and fully spray the cleaning solution before next step – Be sure not to spray too much water, as it may cause the TPU film to deform.
5. Remove Air Bubbles
- Once the film is 100% aligned, use a small squeegee to gently push out air bubbles and excess water from the center of the film toward the edges.
- Work slowly and patiently to avoid creases or wrinkles.
- Continue using the squeegee to remove residual water and wipe the screen edges with an absorbent cloth to prevent moisture from seeping into the device.
